My husband likes to ride his motorcycle and drink coffee with his friends. He plays tennis, golf, and stays active around the house. He planted a serviceberry bush last week to replace a bush we lost due to Japanese beetle damage.
My older daughter is a Special Education teacher for middle school students who are learning how live independently in our world. She is married to a science teacher. They have my two granddaughters..
My younger daughter is a librarian. My son-in-law works for a non-profit agency that provides food for people in need in their community. They have my three grandsons,, three kitties, and a bunny.
My almost 19-year-old cat likes to take naps, watch the birdfeeder, and sit on my lap in the morning. Frances is in cat heaven now with all of her brothers.
We recently found and adopted a youngster. Yofi is a two-year-old black and white with lots of personality. She loves to play and she loves attention.
My houseplants mostly just grow. Sometimes they give me flowers! I talk to them every day except in the summer when I take them outside for their summer vacation. They like my front porch and my backyard. Now they're settled back inside keeping Yofi, my husband and me company.
My outside birds include a pair of cardinals, some black-capped chick-a-dees, a couple of nuthatches, lots of goldfinches, too many red finches to count and about a jillion sparrows. A hawk sometimes perches on the new bush outside my kitchen window. Occasionally, a small woodpecker visits the old maple in the front yard. I put a variety of seeds in my feeder. Doves eat from the ground. So do lots of squirrels, black ones and brown ones, too. Robins hunt worms in the lawn. I try to tolerate the destructive but very cute chipmunks.
